The Indus River Valley was one of the earliest civilizations to begin, starting in 2500 B.C.E. and ending in 1900 B.C.E. The civilization is known as the largest both geographically and demographically. Civilizations first started developing in East and South Asia near great river valleys. Today the Indus River Valley is our present day Pakistan and Northwest India.
